frozen storm

In 1984 (a once so auspicious year) Muller wrote about the Frozen Storm in Explosion of a Memory / Description of a Picture. In tortured prose/poetry, he evoked that dark time, a world in terrible pain yet locked in a scream. The U.S. on the verge of seemingly permanent overwhelming empire, social movement n the U.S. crushed, the third world starving. All knees bent or about to bend (Soviet Union) to the emerging New World Order.

Those, of course, were the good old days.
